Spring blooms

Spring is in full bloom, and blossoms are spotted covering trees throughout the city. This of course means Ranunculus & Peony blooms are around the corner (just in time for wedding season). And while I’m partially biased as I adore these delicate, and truly romantic flowers, the pair of R+P blooms are indeed, in high demand! Best to plan ahead when incoporating this pair for weddings & other special events, as Ranunculus & Peonies have a short bloom (late Spring- early Summer), but are certainly worth the wait! They are the perfect choice for an Easter centrepiece, or an elegant wedding bouquet. Available in a variety of colours, from soft pastels to bright hues, R+P blooms are a wonderful way to dress up any occasion!

Engage at VC

So much prettyness to take in today at Engage Bridal Show at the Vancouver Club. It was a fantastic day full of gorgeous gowns (Blush Bridal), stunning cascades of orchids (Tala florist), awesome tunes (DJ Leanne), beautiful cakes (Anna Elizabeth Cakes), and of course savory treats (Vancouver Club). Other highlights include the couture Bridal Fashion Show by Blush Bridal, premiering Vera Wang, Ramono Keveza & Reem Acra, to name a few. Mix in a room full of newly engaged brides, eager to discover new trends and meet new vendors, it was a truly wonderful day. We had a terrific time (thank you Jenny at VC for the invite) & look forward to next year’s event; only next year, we hope to showcase our gorgeous designs.

If you missed the show today, here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy.

Flower crush: Ranunculus

In search of beautiful flowers for your wedding or celebration event? Take a look at our favourite arrangements full of Ranunculus, that are sure to leave you to inspired. Ranunclus is a perennial plants that is known for its lustrous petals. It comes in a variety of colors, including white, pink, red, yellow, and orange (to name a few).

Ranunculus is available at various floral shops throughout the city. My personal favourite is local floral shop, Tala Florist, who is well-known for their exquisite arrangements. In fact we are presently together in arranging the centre pieces for our Valentines Styled Shoot (which is less than a week away).

I love pairing Rannunculus with roses, peonies, hydrangeas & baby’s breath. Which arrangement would you choose?
